Today’s scripture is from Mark, and it’s the story of the curing of Peter’s mother-in-law, who was suffering from a fever. On this Super Bowl Sunday we talk a lot about nachos, and notice that Peter’s mother-in-law just gets up and starts to serve.
Is that sexist? Is it unkind?
Or is there something else going on, something that we have to pay a little closer attention to?
